What I learned from the Bill Nye video are, there are a lot of different things in space. There are places beyond our solar system. Everything in space is made out of the same things as us atoms! Atoms are little things that make up big structures. Have you ever heard anyone use the term light years? Light years are 9.5 trillion earth years and that is a long time! Something cool about light years is if a star ever burns out the light will still come towards us because it is still coming towards us. The light will eventually burn a few years after the star explodes.
Another thing I learned is that planets are not as close as they look. If you look from a telescope they look really close but in reality they are 100 millions of miles away. A few things I learned from the Bill Nye video are the big red spot on Jupiter is as big as Earth! I also learned that Polaris will not always be our North Star. In 12000 years it will be a star called Vega. That will happen because the Earth will move so Polaris will move out of our sight. I want to tell you an awesome fact. Did you know that sometimes one dot in the sky is actually more than a billion stars! That is so cool! Another cool fun fact is it takes 4.5 light years from the closest star to the sun. And remember one light year is 9.5 TRILLION Earth years.Something else about Polaris is it is the end of the little dipper. That is the end of my paragraph!
